My go-to Ocean State catering picks for weddings and parties
One of the best parts of being in the wedding and event world for the past six years has been working alongside so many amazing caterers — and yes, getting to taste all the delicious food that comes with it.
I’ve tried the food from caterers from all over Rhode Island, from elegant plated dinners to casual backyard BBQ spreads, and I’ve found a few personal favorites I always feel excited to recommend.
If you’re planning a wedding, shower, rehearsal dinner, or even just a fun get-together, here are four caterers I think truly shine.
Best All Around:
Blackstone Caterers
When people ask me for a “go-to” caterer who can do it all, my answer is always Blackstone Catering. Their team is professional but also incredibly kind and easy to work with, which makes a huge difference on event day. They can handle events of any size, and their extensive culinary offerings are versatile enough to fit just about any style of celebration. Honestly, they just get it — they wouldn’t be around for the last 80 years if they didn’t! You can always count on them to deliver both amazing food and a smooth experience.

Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering
If you love that smoky, wood-fired flavor and a more laid-back vibe, Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering is where it’s at. Their BBQ is next-level (people will definitely be going back for seconds - I DID), and their setup adds such a cool, rustic feel to any event. Perfect for rehearsal dinners, weddings, or anything casual-but-special. Plus, the team is super fun to work with, which makes the whole experience even better.

Watch Hill Catering
Sometimes you just want food that is really, really good without being overcomplicated. That’s where Watch Hill Catering comes in. Their food never disappoints, their team is genuine and easygoing, and they bring such a welcoming energy to events. It always feels like they’re part of the celebration, not just working behind the scenes — and that makes all the difference.

Belmont’s Market
If you’re planning a smaller gathering or want to keep things simple but still delicious, Belmont’s Market is a GREAT choice. Their catering menu has a great variety, it’s super easy to order, and the food holds up beautifully — whether you’re serving it as hearty side dishes or making it the main event. It’s perfect for DIY hosts who want great food without the stress of cooking everything themselves.

Food is such a big part of how we celebrate, and these caterers know how to make every event feel special. After years of trying dishes from all over the state, these four stand out as my personal favorites — ones I’d happily recommend again and again.
